Endless

Our Endless Numbered Days

by Claire Fuller

– read my review here

Peggy Hillcoat is 17 years old and has been back in her family for 2 months now, everything is familiar and strange at the same time. Her father is no longer there, but in his place is an 8-year-old brother Oskar, she hadn’t known of until her return. He is the same age now that she was when she and her father disappeared, for nine years, without trace. – extract from Claire’s review

  1. I have read nothing but good reviews of this book so would love the chance of winning a copy. Great blog – I always look forward to your posts.

  2. I’ve had this on my list since your original recommendation and only this week went to Waterstones near work to look for it-they didn’t have it so I ended up buying 5 other books! Madness! So I’d love to win it though I feel lazy saying that as I really should just get online and order it!

      • I was tempted by Ben Lerner’s 10:04, Lionel Davidsons thriller ‘Kolmynsky’ ( the bookseller recommended it and Phillip Pullman says best thriller he’s ever read apparently!) We Are Not Ourselves by Matthew Thomas, Timur Vermes ‘Look Who’s Back’ and Kamila Shamsie’s A God In Every Stone. Read any of them?

        • I have read very few new books so far this year apart from a couple of translations and the one I’m giving away, but have had my eye on Kamila Shamsie for a while and read great reviews of the Ben Lerner and Matthew Thomas. I look forward to reading your thoughts on them, bit of a backlog over here on reviews and now reading Frankenstein in anticipation of a relayed broadcast from the National Theatre due to show in a couple of weeks!

  4. This is great to enter a contest where I don’t have to jump through hoops. Most book bloggers do that.
